Nüziders - Lingbo - Nüziders

On 3 May we started our trip to Sweden at 20 o'clock. Since we had already packed and sent our motorcycles to Canada, we drove the AUDI to Sweden. To escape the rush hour, we crossed Germany at night and reached at 6.30 o'clock the ferry in Puttgarden to Rodbyhavn in Denmark.
Past Kobenhagen and over the Oeresunds Bridge we came to Sweden and continued to drive to Vaexjoe, in the south of Sweden to Ingeborg’s sister Emma, Kalle and dog Gizmo. There we spent some days in wonderful spring weather, before we on 9 May arrived to Lingbo (approx. 250 km north of Stockholm) to visit Ingeborg’s father Peråke, Ann-Sofie and dog Freja. Here in Lingbo Ingeborg grow up and she has naturally many friends, who all wanted to be visited...
We were with Peråke and Ann-Sofie on moose safari and it lasted not at all for a long time to we which saw. They are enormous, impressive animals. Also there are some other forest inhabitants to observe. Unfortunately most of them disappeared or were too far away before we could catch them with the camera. Too far away, was more frequently the case and therefore we concentrated more on observing them with the binoculars than on photographing.
Also we took trips with the bicycles, likewise a boat travel to Stugan (= holiday house) of Inge’s mummy. A few times we were in Gaevle, the next larger city (approx. 70 km south of Lingbo), in order to visit Inge’s mummy and simply by the city stroll. The sun did nearly not go down here. Sunrise was approx. at 4 o'clock and sunset over approx. 22 o'clock. It was never completely dark. The temperatures were not as highly as in the south of Sweden and it often blew an icy wind here, but we remained exempted from the mosquitoes, which can make the life in this area difficult. So we could enjoy the wonderful landscape completely unimpaired.
On Saturday, 20 May we had slowly started to move south to get home in time for the flight to Montreal.
We made short stops in Gaevle at Ingeborgs mum, in Stockholm at Ingeborgs aunt, and in Vaexjoe at Ingeborg’s sister.
We left Sweden on Monday, the 22 May 2006. Denmark was rapidly crossed. We made a short break in Hamburg and visited Barbara and daughter Isabell, a friend from Austria before she moved to Germany.
We continued to Kassel where we visited Rolf, Carmen, their daughters Jennifer and Janina, their granny and dog Giny (foot horn). Rolf, Carmen and the daughters met Tobias 1997 in Morocco. They were at that time with a camping truck on the way (please Rolf forgive Tobias that he does not know the exact designation of the rolling hotel), and the whole family worried agitating about the lonely motorcycle driver in the desert. It was a nice trip and since then they are close friends...
On Wednesday 24 May we arrived at home at Nueziders.
