Paso Mamuil Malal - Trevelin 1. - 5. Dez. 2007

On the eastern side of the Andes, in Argentina, the first landscape as much bleaker.
We drove in the Parque National Lanin, where the youngest volcano in the region, the 3776m high Lanin. Half he belongs to Chile, half to Argentina.
A partly grobschotterige, partly sandy slope took us to Lake Huechulatquen, where we have been the first time something had rain.
The next day, however, seemed to regain the sun.

By Seengebieht Siete Lagos went on Asfalt and slopes towards the south.

A fantastically beautiful landscape of lakes, woods and snowy mountains.
The days are here in the south have become much longer, but also the climate harsh.
More than 13 degrees C demonstrates our Termometer not more, and often blowing an icy wind.
In San Martin de los Andes, a nice Touristenstaedtchen at Lago Lacar one day we Station.
There are lots Sportgeschaefte, restaurants and chocolate producer and a Schigebieht.
The city thrives on winter as well as in summer tourism, but at the moment everything is deserted and quiet, and we always like the only guests at the campsite.

Many Germans, Swiss and Oesterreicher live here, we koennens verstehern, a great area and this is just the beginning of Patagonia.

Glacier haengen to the rugged mountains and icy torrents and rivers feeding the lakes ..
Bang Yellow Buesche and fragrant, lilla Lupinien stand out from the blue of the lake and the sky. Far too beautiful it is here to simply durchzuheizen and so will our daily stages always kuerzer.
The country invites you to linger, and so we came on Lake Nahuel Huapi not simply pass without our tent on the beach.

Against San Carlos de Bariloche, the 1150s then suddenly not want more and kotzte the whole Motoroel on the street and behind me on the mobile Ingeborg.
The 15 km from the city they had to tow me then and there we found a workshop.
Jesos, even enthusiastic Enduro rider, had the 1150s quickly repaired.
We had the tent in the garden behind the workshop up and spent a nice evening with the family. It lasted until the next day, we then came off.

On the Rut 40 went further direction Sued- Suedost, the country was once again flatter and balder, and we made the first time acquainted with the icy Patagonian wind.
In Esquel we left the Ruta 40 heading west and from Trevelin gabs no more traffic.

A runway fuehrte us once again into the mountains to the border with Chile.
