At the Di. 20 February could we Puno then finally leave. To the parting it rained again once. We drove along the Lago Titikaka and reached after two hours the border station in Yunguyo. The Peruvian border guards tried to take still illegal 40 Sol, but completely so naively we are now also not more and said the fact that we already know that correct is not so whole and could leave the country then also without 'Gringosteuer'. The entry in Bolivia took place then also rapidly and uncomplicatedly and we was Peru to have gladly finally left. At the tourist place Copacabana we only drove past and crossed on a small, adventurous ferry the Titikakasee in its narrowest place of San Pedro de Tiquina after San Pablo de Tiquina. Ingeborgs state of health prepared still large concerns and the question for us whether she was to fly home stood already for some time to the debate. If the 650er not until La Paz should hold out would be it then eh been clear, but it and we still ran wanted a decision to make if we should arrive there. We reached La Paz in the afternoon and Let us Inge-borrow decided to drive on. Thus we passed La Paz at the edge and left the city soon behind us. Bolivia is not the straight richest country, but is here all than in equivalent well Peru and we felt somewhat more maintained. Also humans are openly and friendlier and everywhere became us zugewunken. Approx. we could set up finally again once our tent to 200km south of the capital and campierten something off the road in a field. High Hochebene of the Altiplano continued to go through grandiose landscape over the 4000m. In Oruro we covered ourselves up also a few food, much give again it also here sowiso to buy, and did not miss it to refuel. Since the gas station in Challapata did not have Sprit, we had to turn with halfempty tanks on the lonely runway after Uyuni. Whether to that gasoline hand becomes? In any case one becomes it scarcely warden. The runway was bad, but the environment gigantic. From time to time we happened a few houses and set up in the evening our tent somewhat off the runway. Round around some thunderstorms came down, but at our place it remained drying and we enjoyed the Lightshow approximately around us, probably with something uneasiness, since the tent and the motorcycles were the only increase far and broad and we had nevertheless something concern whether itself not nevertheless lightning could mad hereā¦ In Sevaruyo we got the wrong runway, then after approximately the 20km to end were and we stood in a Alpakkaherde beside a simple accommodation. So we had to again go back the sandige distance and with our scarce Spritvorraeten. After two days we achieved ziehmlich through-vibrated the enormous salt level of the Salar de Uyuni. Since at present rain time is was the Salar with 40cm water filled and this saltwater bath we did not want to do and the Motos, the salt are very agressiv, and drove with the last drops gasoline after Uyuni, to the city in the middle in the nothing. We booked a jeep route and changed for the next three days of two on four wheels. We were glad not to have to drive by the deep water. Further outside on the Salar the water became more shallowly and after further some km was it then drying. Now also the jeep could drive faster and with well 100km/h drove we over for hours track-sends white. Where the Salar water has is reflected the sky therein and one sees where it stops and the earth does not begin and it looks everything very spaceig. In the distance the Isla Pescado dipped on on the enormous Kakteen grows and after we erklommen the highest point of the island had went it further over the apparently endless widths from salt. We left the Salar de Uyuni and moved by high deserts and lonely valleys and passports direction Chile. Past at some salt lakes with flamingos we reached the Laguna Colorada and the close convenient Geysiere on 5000m height, where it was bitterly cold. To the Laguna Verde we achieved the for the time being southernmost point of our journey. Inge-borrow went it again very badly and we saw themselves forced our route breaking off and home fly.
